Security Print Solutions widen use of holographic foils
Security Print Solutions (SPS) are a leading supplier of security document solutions. The company has developed unique security printing techniques through its dedication to research and development. Recently SPS have made a major breakthrough in the production of high security documents. Continuing a tradition of innovation they have turned their attention to the challenge of printing, hologramming and numbering as a single pass press operation.
The company’s track record in the development of new security print processes began around 1990. When in response to a rise in the forgery of football tickets they were one of the pioneers in developing a unique hologram material, which was capable of being applied to security documents. Recognition of this development expertise has resulted in the company advising APACS on methods to combat large-scale corporate cheque fraud.
The end result of this project has seen the launch of
a new manufacturing process for high security documents. This provides SPS
customers with a new manufacturing capability, that will deliver savings
on existing high security documents, and more importantly open up new opportunities
by making holograms more affordable to a range of new markets. Insurance
Certificates, Licences, Corporate Stationery and Documents can now be considered
alongside current secure documents such as Retail Vouchers and Corporate
Cheques.
