Can I store my job with you for call off?

SPS will store security print and have specialist insurance for this service

Note: We will not store pre-signed cheques.

What are the minimum order quantities for cheques/vouchers?

One thousand at 12”

What computer programs do you use in artwork?

Aldus Freehand (v.7 – v.10)

Adobe Illustrator (v.8 & v.10)

Adobe Photoshop (v.3, v.4 & v.5.5)

Quark Xpress (v.5 & v.6)

In Design (v.3)

How and what type of logo’s should I supply?

Artwork can be supplied via:

CD or Zip disc (no floppy discs please).

Formats accepted are EPS, PDF, JPEG and TIFF.

When do I need to supply a hard copy?

When artwork is supplied via electronic means, a colour proof / printed sample of how the job should appear must be supplied for SPS to check the outputted file against.

How long do proofs take?

One to three days from order receipt.

Who, how and when do we get bank approval and what do you need?

SPS will obtain bank approval for your cheques. All you have to do is provide us with the name and tel/fax number of your clients bank manager and we will do the rest for you.

What are your accepted methods / terms of payment?

Jobs can be paid for in the following ways:

1. Cheque
2. BACS

A discount of 1½% can be deducted from the invoice total provided we receive payment before the end of the month following the invoice date (net 30 days). After 60 days we automatically put the account on stop.

What is numismatics?

It is a graphic origination technique created with banknote graphic software, which breaks the image down into a series of fine lines. These in turn are distorted to give the subject a 3D / relief effect.

What are solvent inks?

Inks that will bleed when attacked by solvent based agents.

What are aqua inks?

Inks that will bleed when attacked by water based agents.

What are the minimum design requirements for cheques?

The ‘Golden Rules’ for cheque design were actually supplied to APACS by SPS. It therefore follows that all of our cheques fully conform to these ‘Golden Rules’, which are:

How long after the order will my job be despatched?

Stock and Custom cheque products are normally eight working days from proof / order receipt.

Note: Subject to our agreement on these products, we can facilitate delivery within a few days if requested.

All other security print products, depending on the quantity and complexity, would normally be despatched within 10 to 20 working days.
