Director Profiles
JIM CROWTHER – Managing Director
Entered into security printing in 1963 as an apprentice banknote printer with De La Rue. Held various production management roles.
Founded Security Print Solutions (formerly Northumbria
Computer Print Ltd) in 1982. Transformed the business into security printing
in 1990 to pioneer security printing and security production techniques.
MIKE CROWTHER – Works Director
Joined the Board of Directors in September 1987 as Works Director.
Previously worked in a number of production roles over 38 years including Works Director with Reed Print & Design.
Responsible for the successful installation of BS EN 14001:
Roles include managing the factory / plant and personnel including daily production.
STEPHEN WILSON – Commercial Director
Appointed to the Board of Directors in May 2000 as Commercial Director having been with the company in various production and management roles since joining in May 1984.
Instrumental in setting up and achieving BS 5750 registration in 1991 and the subsequent transition to BS EN ISO 9001 in 2000.
Responsible for managing the continued growth of the client base through service excellence.
GRAHAM McGUIRE – Production Director
Joined Security Print Solutions in October 2006, initially in a management consultancy capacity. Invited to join the board of Directors in August 2007 as Production Director.
Hold 33 years experience in the print industry, initially as a management accountant (qualified ACMA in 1979), but latterly as Managing Director at Kalamazoo Print Ltd, where over a 5½ year period raised the profitability of the Company by over 50%.
Responsibilities at Security Print Solutions include all aspects of production with emphasis on improvements in quality, efficiency and productivity quantitive techniques.
